Worcester Bosch Boilers
As Worcester Bosch accredited heating installers, these are our preferred boilers when installing central heating systems or renewing an existing gas boiler in Edinburgh . There are many reasons why we prefer the Worcester Bosch range of boilers, the easiness to install the boiler, the efficiency of the boiler, flexibility of the flushing system, looks and of course the customer service from Worcester Bosch.

On all our boiler installations in Edinburgh , we install inline limescale reducers, MagnaCleans and we also for your peace of mind give you a free carbon monoxide detector. Obviously, pricing varies between the size and model of the boiler, how much flushing is required and additional features such as thermostatic radiator valves and room thermostats or whether the gas pipe needs to be renewed to a suitable size. All new boilers are now required to be of the condensing type and also be a SEDBUK (Seasonal Efficiency of a Domestic Boiler in the UK) Band ‘A’ boiler all of the Worcester Bosch range of boilers are of this type. Some people say that the Worcester Bosch boiler is more expensive than other boiler manufacturers, whilst it may be true that it is in the higher price bracket, it is as they say “you get what you pay for” Put a cheap, inferior boiler in your home and replace it every few years. On the other hand, pay a few pounds more for a quality product and reap the rewards of free extended warranties and peace of mind. I’m not saying that a Worcester bosch boiler will never go wrong, but with an excellent customer service in most cases should your boiler breakdown, it will in most cases be up and running again within 24hrs!
Thermaflow Electric Combination Boilers
As someone who has been installing gas boilers for over 20 odd years or so. I have to say I really like the Thermaflow electric combination boilers, in fact providing the customer can get a cheap overnight electricity tariff, I cannot find anything negative to say about these electric combination boilers. They are compatible for both radiators and underfloor heating systems as well as being suitable for solar thermal applications and come in a variety of sizes ranging from 140ltrs to 330ltrs. In my opinion compared to a domestic gas boiler which have an average lifespan of around 8-10 years the Thermaflow boiler offers greater value for money both in the short term as not a lot can go wrong as there are very few moving parts and is virtually maintenance free and in the long term as the manufacturers give a 25 year warranty on the boiler unit.
Providing you have a minimum incoming mains water pressure of 0.8bar and an electrical supply they are suitable for all types of properties up to 3 or 4 bedrooms. They are relatively easy to install, but as the boiler is an unvented vessel it is a requirement that the boiler be installed by a plumber with a G3 unvented certificate and that it is wired up by a competent electrician. Both John and Stewart are registered NICEIC electricians and fully certify the electrical work carried out.
Out of the 30 or so Thermaflow electric combination boiler installations we carried out last year, we had one complaint whereby some bright spark (John) left one of the thermostats down too low so not allowing the radiators to get very hot, this was soon rectified and we achieved 100% customer satisfaction.
